I'm working on Fire and Ice right now to get it under the word limit. I had another friend tell me he thinks it's SFF enough so I'm gonna go with it -- he also says you can tell that I love it, which is important.
When I've decided which two pieces I'm thinking about, I'll send you both of them. Potential Energy is a possibility...but I'm not sure, I feel like it's got some issues of its own...we'll see.
Also, I've had this concept for a story floating in my head for a while (not for Clarion, but just in general), spawned by a comment my roommate made while watching a movie that, when two people are close enough, kissing is almost inevitable. It's like there's a magnetic force acting over short distances. And that got me to thinking about a world where love was literally governed by the same physical forces as everything else, which made me think of your physics love songs immediately. And then yesterday this phrase came into my head: "There's a moment when gravity overcomes inertia, and we kiss." I figured you were the only one who'd appreciate that as much as I do!
Also: I have officially watched the entire first season of Buffy, and it is AMAZING. I understand your love for it.
