Autumn

I want desperately for it to become cold, with that sharp wind whistling through the trees that here is southern California aren't quite losing their leaves (they still think there's sun) and provide shade and shelter from the occasional cloudburst. To be able to pull out my jeans and long-sleeved shirts, and sweatshirts and coats and jackets and boots and even gym shoes (because now it's too warm for all of those, the only shoes I can wear are sandals). And then at the end of the day to come home from school and make hot chocolate while I sit and do my homework as it rains outside and I stay warm and dry...

I love fall.
