What happens when I write without thinking about it...
Excerpt from the novel I am currently writing:
She finished her lunch and was attacked by aliens on the way out the door, but didn’t bother with them because they were just looking for chocolate and she didn’t have any on her. She told them the direction of the best candy store in town. It wasn’t until after they had left that she realized she’d given them completely incorrect directions, but Holly blamed it on only having lived here for a week. Those aliens should have been smart enough to find a local to mooch chocolate off of.
...You all think I'm crazy now. That's actually not from my novel; I was just bored and couldn't think of a way to interestingly end the sentence I was writing, so I decided to go all random...and that popped out. The chocolate/alien reference is all the fault of a certain Diane Duane. However, as she is a published writer and I am not, I don't have the time to waste posting this.
