Jump on the bandwagon!
So, as most of you know, in the next few weeks I'll be busy with not only the usual school stuff, but also with putting together and executing a political campaign in order to (hopefully) win the office of Secretary General within the Model United Nations program. It feels really weird that I'm already old enough to run -- part of me still feels like that little freshman who stood in awe of the members of the Secretariat, but especially the SG, and thought about how cool it would be to get a chance to do his job in a few years.
At the same time it's a little disturbing because it's politics, and the people I'm running with and against will all be going slightly crazy over it. I don't want to get sucked into that sort of cutthroat politics for something that, really, is mostly a popularity contest...but still -- I want to win this more than I've ever wanted to win any of the popularity contests I've entered into in the past.
And I'm not foolish -- to do everything I want to, I'm going to need help. At the moment, specifically, I think I need some sort of slogan that would unify my campaign, because I definitely should have one and I definitely don't. I was trying to think of a good one, but it's hard since most of the stuff that I'm known for isn't exactly connectable with MUN.
So if anyone reading this has any ideas, that would be amazing. If not...well, then you're exactly where I am!
Oh, and I must now acknowledge the amazing, splendiferous, and all-those-other-cool-superlatives Shannen, who's making me a campaign logo! Shannen is teh awesomeness. That's all there is to be said.
And now I must go, because it's the weekend before finals and my exams are already out to kill me. See ya!
