I have another book I think you might like, if I ever get it back from my friend. It's called "The Rose and the Beast" and it's a retelling of fairytales, most of them in a modern setting. Not that original, I know, but it's written by Francesca Lia Block (I don't know if you've read anything of hers, but she has a really distinctive style. I can't decide if you'd like it or not, and I kind of want to know. Haha).
