That's basically my rationale: I'm not trying to get rich by writing, which is I think the only way to accomplish getting rich by writing!
And it's not random to want a scarf. I don't have much access to yarn at the moment but if you tell me what to look for and how big you want it, I can make you a scarf no problem. If you had specific yarn in mind, you could buy that and send it to me and I could make you a scarf out of it. I'm not about to charge you for anything (other than materials fee if it's pricey yarn).
