Hey folks! This is just to let you all know that right now I'm sitting in the parlor of the Golden Gate Hotel on Bush Street in San Francisco, one of my favorite cities after London. We left this morning at 5:00 AM and just got here at about 1:00 PM, which is (I think) the fastest we've ever made the trip.

Considering my grandma was with us, that has to be a record worthy of several gold stars.

But now I'm gonna go up and get my purse so we can leave to head down to Union Square and lose some money. I'll hopefully post tomorrow after I see Wicked!

Okay, random post because something really funny happened...

Well, we walked down to Union Square and checked out some of the stores. I walked past Sephora cosmetics on the way and they had all these awesome Wicked posters and promotional thingies since Sephora provides all the make-up for the show, including what makes Elphaba green. They were selling some of the real green make-up! But I was the only one who wanted to go inside and we had to cross the street to get there, so we didn't. It was still really cool to see, though.

Oh my gosh, and then we went to the giant Nordstrom's and I actually bought a dress!!! Actually, Corinne bought a dress, but it fits me to and according to Corinne I'll have a chance to wear it before she will. It's a pretty simple, modest black dress. The top is three-quarter sleeve and kinda off-the-shoulder, sort of tight (tight enough that it's noticeable if I don't suck in). The skirt part is maybe ankle-length and it flares a little...it's really pretty. I'm secretly hoping I'll have a chance to wear it.

But the funny thing that was all I was intending to write on here is this: when I was sitting in the lobby at our bed and breakfast, I got to talking with a lady who's staying here. She asked why we were here, and I told her about Wicked. She asked me a couple of questions, so I explained what the show was about. Then, she aksed me what it was I thought made the show so universally popular.

I guess I rhapsodized about it for a little too long, because when I was done she asked me if I was going to be a theatre student.

...

Yeah. Me. A theatre student. I'm still laughing.
