Okay, totally random and meaningless title. But those are fun.
So I'm realizing I haven't posted anything on here for a while, and I'm also realizing that school is (not so) slowly creeping up on me. Bleh. I hate it, I love it...it's a sad but accepted dichotomy.
And I guess I should face the fact that I am looking forward to going back, even if it means that I have less time to do things just for me. I think that, despite the whole this-is-the-school-year-of-doom thing, this could be a really great year.
There isn't much for me to say, so I won't say much. Though I will say that I have officially finished all of my summer reading, and I don't remember anything from C&P or Dorian Gray except for the characters' names. Oh well, that's what sparknotes are for!
This summer I haven't been very productive with my writing. On the one hand that irks me, but on the other I think I'm just not definiting "productive" correctly. I have written, and I've had fun doing it. I think that should count as productive.
And I've also gone a long way with playing the piano. My piano repertoire (aka the stuff I can actually play) now consists of:
- the first two pages of "The Music of the Night" (from Phantom of the Opera)
- the first two pages of "I'm Not That Girl" (from Wicked)
- the first page of "Defying Gravity" (from Wicked)
- the first page of "Seasons of Love" (from Rent)
- all of "Hot Cross Buns" and "Mary Had A Little Lamb" <--I'm very proud of those XD
Well, talking about piano has made me want to play, so I'm off to practice "Seasons of Love" since it's the newest piece I've been playing. See you all when school starts!
