I sense extreme congruence.
Jun. 14th, 2006 07:05 pmE-mailed Julie Czerneda today to tell her how amazing her most recent book was. I swear, if I become half as good a writer as her I'll have made my dreams come true! I'm still on a high from reading that book. Granted, a large amount of said literary high comes from the romantic subplot finally being resolved. AKA, the people who needed to get together got together and they did so quite happily when it came down to it. I feel like I've just watched two good friends who'd been flirting for what felt like ages finally realize that they had a relationship that could actually work out, and work out well. It could even be love.
And now I'm rambling about the love lives of fictional characters. I told you, a literary high does things to me...but it was such a good book!
I'm also excited because I wrote a few sentences today that I really liked and I came up with a character who I think might be some fun in his own way. And the night is still young -- there's more time left for me to write!
I am happy today.
