Stanford!!!
Jun. 26th, 2006 07:18 pmSo today was my first day, and very busy. I don't really have time to chronicle the entire thing, but here goes my attempt:
8:00 Breakfast -- food is actually really good!
9:00-11:30 Class
I really like my teacher -- he seems really neat. The kids in my class are great, too. I think my favorite part is that there are only 12 kids in the whole class! It's really cool, we all get to talk a bunch. I feel like I'm the only one willing to admit that I read non-literary books in my spare time, though -- Matt (our teacher) asked what we read and I was the first to talk. People kinda stared when I listed Anne McCaffrey, Julie E. Czerneda, Jim Butcher, and Diane Duane...
Then there was lunch...
Then there was study hall for 3 hours where we did our assignments (I hate my writing one, I'm going to fix it up after I'm done with this).
Then we went on a photo scavenger hunt around campus, which was really entertaining. Then dinner, then I came back and showered and now I'm here. Not too much else to say...
I probably won't update too often just because I really want to dedicate myself to writing while I'm here -- I figure I paid enough to take this pretty seriously. But I'm definitely going to have at least a little time. I just won't be able to read all my friends entries. *cries* But I know your lives have been splendiferous.
