Yeah...one of my childhood friends got married last summer, he's a year younger than me. I mean, my mom was married by the time she was my age! But, as she's quite quick to point out, "Things were different then"...except apparently not so different.
I think what's so weird about this case is that I *only* really knew this girl until we were eleven or twelve. So in my mind she is still the girl who had us all over for a sleepover birthday party to see Josie and the Pussycats in theaters, after which we decided to start a girl band -- and also the girl who spilled spaghetti sauce on my copy of "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them," and who had a crush on Fred Weasley.
