When things just work out

Oh, how I love this weather! It's been raining and overcast on and off now for pretty much the whole day. At 3:00 in the afternoon it was dark enough to be dinnertime, and right now though it's only 6:00, it feels like I should be getting ready to go to sleep. Time seems to have been dragging itself out a little longer than normal today. Actually, it feels like it's been doing that for at least a weak. Seems like every free moment I have, it stretches out so much longer than I thought it possibly could.

I'm trying to figure out whether or not I like that. On the one hand, it's cool; on the other, it's annoying. I don't like having all the time in the world; when I do, I never get things done. There's just not that same immediacy, the need to get stuff done. So when I have more time, I get really lazy. Heh. That just stinks.

Oh well, I'll be getting over it sooner or later I guess. And it's also nice to have more time than I thought I did, even if it's still not much time. I was talking with Rick and we both realized that the first free weekend we both have is the weekend after Thanksgiving. That was a frightening yet sobering thought. I'm glad that I get to see him at school; he's had a surprisingly good influence on my sanity.

And now I'm starting to smell honey-baked ham and cinnamon from downstairs, so I'll assume that dinner is done and that I should be joining the family. But this, right here and now, is pretty good, and that needed to be said.
