Would it be better to be in a coma or a comma?

If I was in a comma, I'd feel really small and insignificant. I'm just a speck in the universe. Please don't bring that eraser near me mister/miss, 'cos you make me feel scared of you, and I'd rather you be my good friend and read my sentence. I didn't mean to be part of a Shakespearen quote, I was just written that way, so I'd really appreciate it if you took the time to read me. Just do that, an' I won't bother you anymore.

But if I was in a coma, then people would make sure that I'm alright, and I'd be watched over a lot, and when I wake up, there will be flowers and cards and little chocolates to brighten my day and get me out of that huh-where-am-I-what-is-this-place kind of mood. Plus, it would be a great excuse to not do any homework.

Geez, I think wrote more than I meant to. But, to simplify it, I choose coma.

That's so selfish! When you're in a coma, the people who care about you are worried sick. And all you care about is you get candy?

I want to be a comma! To be part of something so much bigger then myself- a language.

I was being facetious!! I really don't care about candy!

What I meant to say is that sometimes, when you feel like everyone just passes you by without a glance...its strangely nice to have something happen to you that suddenly grabs everyone's attention. No one wants to see anyone die, so they all hope for the best for you.

Dunno if I said that right, though.

Harsh, maybe? Haha, just saying I don't think you meant it that way... But yay candy!! Richard has good priorities. XD

I have to agree with Steph and say that I have decided *I* want to be in a comma -- assuming, of course, that the comma is in some amazing sentence of some amazing book somewhere. :)

I think it's better to be in a comma - since it's only a momentary pause, you'll be out of it soon. A coma can last longer than a run-on sentence.

That's exactly what I'd have liked to have time to say when I first read this. Seeing as you beat me to it, I will simply say I agree, and touche to a good point. =D

I'm going to be random as to my reasons for my preference to be in a comma:

I overuse them, a lot, and always have. So commas are cool.

Plus, like, looking at the shape of a comma, it's almost like a SLIDE! And so, I get this really cool mental image of a water slide in the shape of a comma and it makes me happy.

If you're in a coma, you're unconscious to the world and in a very poor physical state, both of which is not good. And it is unclear as to the time of your reappearance to the world.

So yeah, my beautiful reasons for wanting to be in a comma rather than a coma.

good question. We all know what it means to be in a coma... or at least have some idea. But what does it mean to be in a comma? If I knew that... maybe I could answer. I don't really like the unknown :-P
